Plain English. No dark patterns. Here's what Capacify does with your data and what it doesn't.

The short version

Capacify stores your tasks, your daily energy budget, and a small log of what you do inside the app. We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. You can delete everything at any time from inside the app.

What we collect

  • Anonymous account ID. When you first launch Capacify, we create a user account for you with a randomly generated UUID. No email, name, or phone number is required.
  • Your tasks. The text of each task you add, its energy cost, whether it's done, and any AI-reframed version we generated for you.
  • Your daily energy budget. The percentage you've set today.
  • Behavioral event log. Tap-level events like "task created" or "task completed," used for streak calculation and product analytics. No location data, no advertising IDs.
  • Anonymized device marker. A one-way hash of your device's identifier (the vendor ID on iOS, a stored random ID on Android) used only to track when your free trial started. It is kept even after you delete your account, solely so a fresh trial can't be farmed by deleting and signing up again on the same device. It contains no personal information and is never linked to your email or identity.
  • Crash diagnostics. If the app breaks, we may receive technical details like the browser, device type, app version, URL, and error stack so we can fix it. We mask page text in session replays and do not use this for advertising.
  • Subscription state. Whether you have an active paid subscription, which plan, and when it expires. Provided by the marketplace through RevenueCat or by Stripe on web. We never see your payment card.
  • Optional email address. If you link an email to your account (a "save my account" feature), we store it so you can recover your data on a new device. You can use Capacify forever without linking one.

How we use it

  • To show you your own tasks.
  • To compute your streak.
  • To filter tasks against your daily budget.
  • To send the task text to Google's Gemini AI when you tap "Reframe" (see below).
  • To understand product usage at an aggregate level (e.g., "how many tasks does the average user complete per day"), never tied to identifiable people.

AI reframing

When you tap the Reframe button on a task, the original task text is sent to Google's Gemini API to produce a rewritten version in the personality you've chosen. Google processes this text under their Gemini API terms. We do not include your user ID, account information, or any other identifying data with these requests, only the task text and the chosen personality.

Where your data lives

All data is stored in Supabase (a PostgreSQL database hosted in the United States). Communication between your device and Supabase is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Mobile subscription state is also stored at RevenueCat, the service we use to coordinate mobile marketplace billing. Web subscription state is handled by Stripe. Crash diagnostics are handled by Sentry.

Who we share it with

  • Nobody we don't have to. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't share it with data brokers.
  • The third parties we depend on are listed above (Supabase, RevenueCat, Stripe, Google Gemini, and Sentry for crash diagnostics) and only receive the minimum data they need to do their job.
  • We will share data if compelled by valid legal process, but we'll fight unjustified requests, and we'll notify you unless prohibited by law.

Your rights

  • Delete everything. Open the app โ†’ Calibrate โ†’ Delete account. We permanently remove your tasks, events, profile, and entitlement records. This is irreversible.
  • Export your data. Email us at the address below and we'll send you a JSON dump of everything associated with your account within 30 days.
  • Cancel a subscription. Done through the marketplace or payment provider that sold it, never in the app itself (platform policy). The Calibrate screen has a "Manage subscription" button that opens the right place.

Children

Capacify is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll surface them in the app before they take effect. Old versions are kept in git history at our public repo for transparency.
